PRINS Holland

Prins Holland is an established group of companies that collaborate closely to offer a wide range of services and products within the sectors of internal transport machinery, forklifts, and diesel engines. The group includes entities such as Prins Maasdijk, Van Geel Heftrucks, and Prins Forklifts UK, each with its own area of expertise but working together to undertake complex projects and serve customers worldwide.

The history of Prins Holland dates back to 1958 when Arie Prins started as a contractor in the Westland region. His services soon expanded to include the repair, maintenance, and sale of machinery, laying the foundation for Prins Mechanisatie. In the 1970s, Arie Prins identified an opportunity in the market for small rough terrain forklift trucks, leading to the establishment of the company’s forklift division.

A significant milestone for Prins was its partnership with Kubota in the late 1970s, becoming Kubota’s largest customer in the Netherlands and eventually becoming the importer of Kubota engines, resulting in the formation of Prins Motoren. As the contracting business was phased out, Prins Mechanisatie specialized in internal transport machinery, while Prins Motoren supplied Kubota engines to manufacturers both domestically and internationally.

In the subsequent decades, Prins has continued to evolve and expand, with the establishment of Prins Forklifts UK and the acquisition of Van Geel Heftrucks, solidifying its position as a prominent player in both the forklift and diesel engine markets, both in the Netherlands and internationally. The group remains focused on innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity to sustain growth and strengthen its position as a market leader.
